The Shop

A place to dream. A place where each item is authentic, where each item has been made true to tradition by French provincial crafstmen through knowledge handed down from generation to generation.
You wil find all types of popular art in our colourful shop : lots of useful and attractive things for the house and garden. Eric chooses carefully all pieces of the shop, varnished terracotta, stoneware and earthenware, all over the regions of France, Provence, Alsace, Burgundy, Brittany, Savoy…..
Each item tells a story : a basket used when picking cherries, another for the bread to rise in – masses of baskets !
Lovely burr elm bowls and wild cherrywood pitchers, olivewood salad servers, butter moulds and all sorts of useful wooden spoons.
Regional household linen, beautiful quality, true to tradition, and authentic shawls which originally enhanced regional costumes. "Santons", figures for Christmas,which tell the history of a village in Provence through its inhabitants… Tradition and truth.
All these objects are authentic, simple and made to last. They can be used day in day out for cooking, for laying an original table – no one else will have the same as they are essentially unique pieces, all distinguished.
Hand blown glasses, in elegant and traditional shapes, pewter to complement varnished terracotta and stoneware crockery…. Eric and Maggy will be only too glad to help you to create an atmosphere and to choose things that are both useful and sensible for your home or for your friends – things to bring you joy each day. You wil find also unique pieces of well known and talentuous contemporean ceramist, pieces of artists (sculptures, paintings…).
